Follow a dancer's journey at Dana's Studio of Dance in Southlake, from age 2 to the competition team. You don't have to pick a lane on day one.

It starts at 2 with Mommy & Me, a class you take together. Then come recreational classes like Tap & Ballet, built for kids who want to learn and love dance without the stress of competition. Drill Team Prep starts at 6, for dancers with a high school drill team in mind. And for dancers ready to compete, there's a competition team for ages 5 to 18, with several performing companies.

New dancers can start with a free trial class.

Coming up: North Texas Youth Ballet, the nonprofit ballet group directed by studio owner Dana Bailey, performs The Nutcracker on Saturday, December 5, at Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth.
