Hi, I’m Sam.
I’m a husband and a proud dad of two kids in Carroll ISD. Like a lot of families, we came to Southlake for the schools, the family-friendly community, and everything there is for kids to do. We moved here in 2021, and it’s been a great place to raise a family.
What I didn’t expect was how hard it’d be to find things for the kids to do — not because there isn’t enough (there’s far more than we hoped), but because there’s nowhere to see it all at once. You post in a Facebook group and hope the right person sees it, but the same questions come back every few weeks and the good answers get buried under a dozen unrelated posts. Maps and review sites aren’t built for it either — half of what I wanted, like youth leagues, isn’t even listed, and what is there is often out of date. None of it tells you which places take three-year-olds, which sports are competitive and which are just for fun, or when the summer camps open and fill up.
So I built WeSouthlake.
One place to find family and kids’ activities, classes, and services in and around Southlake — curated, organized, and easy to search. Instead of a dozen open tabs, you get:
Over time I want WeSouthlake to answer the questions parents actually have — how things work, what to expect, how to choose — not just list what’s out there.
WeSouthlake is independent, and built by someone who lives here and uses it too. If something’s missing or out of date, suggest an update. And if you’ve got an idea — or just want to say hi — email me at sam@wesouthlake.com. I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks,
— Sam
