Trying out for the Emerald Belles?

Ambition Dance Productions in Grapevine is one place nearby that trains for it.

Its Drill Team Prep classes run every week at both studios, Grapevine and Highland Village, for intermediate and advanced dancers: kicks, turns, jumps, flexibility, precision choreography and performance confidence.

In the weeks before tryouts, Ambition runs team-specific audition clinics that work through the actual audition format, choreography and a judged mock tryout. Its clinics cover the Southlake Carroll Emerald Belles and other area teams, including the Colleyville Heritage Panteras, the Grapevine Fillies/Belles, the Marcus Marquettes and the Flower Mound Rosettes.

Good to know: Drill Team Prep is a technique-only class, so there's no costume fee, and the first trial class is free.
