What's offered

Recreational classes run open-enrollment across preschool (Tots through Gym I–III), school-age tumbling (Tumble 1–3), and Cheer Tumble for all levels. The published recreational grid runs Monday through Saturday: weekday classes start at 2:00pm and run to 7:30pm, Friday is a shorter 4:00–5:00pm block, and Saturday is a morning-only 9:00–11:00am run. Levels move Gym III → Beginner → Beginner II → Intermediate → Advanced, with separate Boys Sport and Cheer Tumble tracks; the later Monday Cheer Tumble section requires a round-off back handspring. A competitive pipeline runs Developmental (invite-only, ages 4–7) → Compulsory (USA Gymnastics Levels 3–5, fall competition season) → Optional (Levels 6–10) → college, alongside a U.S. Gold Cheer Dogs all-star cheer team. Enrollment is subject to space; call to book a free trial class.

Our take

US Gold runs the full width of the sport out of its Roanoke gym. On the recreational side there's a preschool ladder from a walking-age Tots class, school-age tumbling, and a Cheer Tumble class open to all levels. On the competitive side there's a real pipeline: an invite-only Developmental team for four-to-seven-year-olds, USA Gymnastics Compulsory and Optional teams that compete through the levels and have sent gymnasts on to college programs, and a U.S. Gold Cheer Dogs all-star cheer team.

That range is what makes it worth the drive for a lot of families. A child can start in a for-fun class with no pressure, and the path toward a competitive team — gymnastics or all-star cheer — is laid out in the same building rather than at a gym across the metroplex. It's an independent club, not a franchise, and it draws families from across the northwest side of the metro, Southlake included.

Local Tips

The gym is on Haslet-Roanoke Road in Roanoke. A few practical things:

  • There's a free trial class, arranged by phone or email rather than an online portal — the same goes for enrollment, which runs through a downloadable packet.
  • The gym runs a low-cost Open Gym and short skills clinics (members pay less than non-members), plus a daytime "Lunch & Learn" and parent-supervised playtime aimed at flexible or homeschool schedules.
  • Camps run all summer with weekly themes, and there's a separate camp track for younger kids.
  • One thing to confirm: the posted class tuition is marked effective mid-2023, so check current rates when you call.
Credentials

US Gold Gymnastics & Cheer Academy is an independent club. It lists its coaching staff by name — including Bobby Dombrowski and Nancy Martin — but doesn't publish individual certifications or bios; the club describes its staff as safety-conscious and focused on gymnastics and cheer instruction. Its competitive program has produced college-level gymnasts, including a documented Level 10 athlete who went on to be a college recruit.
