  • Break Pass $79 (two half-day camp or workshop credits per month).
  • Class Pass $99 (five weekly/homeschool/FLL classes per month, "Best Value").
  • All-Access Pass $159 (five weekly classes plus two half-day camp or workshop credits per month).
  • Open Lab Pass $99 is a different kind of plan — space hire for micro-schools, tutors, and groups, giving four private bookings a month rather than classes for a child. It is the only plan with no free trial.
  • Classes, workshops, and camps can also be booked à la carte; single-day camps start at $48.
  • The former prepaid camp packages ($480/$925) and the $49/$99/$149 tier structure have been retired.

Our take

Spark Labs is a membership studio that brings in specialists for each discipline and lets kids move between them rather than committing to one track. The filmmaking is taught by a real production team, the mural program by a working DFW muralist, the LEGO robotics through a Snapology partnership and FIRST LEGO League. For a family whose kid hasn't settled on one interest yet, that breadth under a single membership is the pitch.

It works on a monthly plan — a set number of classes or social clubs each month, with a missed-session rollover and a member discount on anything extra — plus à la carte booking for families who'd rather pay per workshop or camp. It's built for a range of ages and learning styles; the founder's framing is a place where a child can build, create, and try things without a big upfront commitment, which fits a household still figuring out what sticks. If you want intensive single-subject depth or academic tutoring, this isn't that; if you want variety and a low-pressure way in, it is.

Credentials

Spark Labs was founded by Melanie Galaviz, who before moving into education spent her career developing leaders and running retail operations across North America. Rather than a single staff, the studio delivers its programs through a roster of named specialist partners: the Six Pixels team (Nicole Leuschner and colleagues) leads student filmmaking with live-production experience; DFW muralist Amy Brines runs the fine-art and Future Artist Mural Program; Heidi Risley, a certified K–12 art teacher with over a decade in public schools and online education, leads STEAM Studio; and Snapology (Grapevine) runs the LEGO robotics and FIRST LEGO League teams.
