Our take

Spanish Schoolhouse is a Spanish-immersion preschool on South Nolen Drive, part of a Texas chain that has run immersion programs since the early 2000s; this campus has served the Southlake area since 2006. The core idea is literal: the school day is conducted in Spanish, so children absorb the language by living the day in it rather than taking a Spanish "class." It's also a Christian-based school — it celebrates Christmas and Easter and the children say a prayer before lunch and nap.

Structurally it's a part-day preschool: instruction runs 9 AM to 2 PM, with extended care available from 7:30 AM to 6 PM, in 2- to 5-day options for children 18 months through pre-K, plus a kindergarten year. Enrollment is annual, with an Open Registration each February that fills first-come. Credentials

Spanish Schoolhouse is a facility-based, Texas-licensed (HHS) immersion preschool. The campus director, Beatriz Villalobos, is originally from Mexico City, attended a bilingual school growing up, trained as a Certified Public Accountant, and joined Spanish Schoolhouse in 2013, working through roles as a kindergarten teacher, office administrator, and assistant director. Teaching staff are CPR-certified and trained to use an Epi-pen for emergencies, and the school operates under Texas child-care licensing.
