Gear is the exception, and it removes the biggest barrier to trying the sport: a first-year player in kindergarten through 4th grade who registers, and is a Southlake resident or CISD student, is loaned a complete starter kit at no cost. A family who wants to keep the kit pays a $300 deposit against roughly $500 of equipment, refunded in full if the gear is returned instead.

What's offered

Youth-through-high-school lacrosse organized into teams by age; registration and schedules run through the club's SportsEngine portal. A US Lacrosse membership is required alongside club registration. The high-school teams play a JV and varsity spring season — roughly February through April — with a published game schedule. A youth fall season for grades K–8 kicks off September 10: grades K–4 practice twice a week and grades 5–8 play about five Sundays plus a tournament. Fall registration is also offered for the following year. Registration for the 2026–27 high-school season is open, and the club's site advertises two entry-point clinics ahead of the fall season — a newcomer clinic, and a Lady Dragon Lacrosse "Free Try It!" session for girls.

Dates

The club runs a free Newcomer Clinic for boys in grades K–8 before the fall season — an hour of introductory fundamentals at Carroll High School (800 N. White Chapel Blvd) led by the Dragon Lacrosse program director, with no equipment needed. The 2026 clinic was held in late August; the club lists it on its site and posts the details on Facebook and Instagram.

Carroll ISD Connection

Southlake Carroll Lacrosse is the Dragon lacrosse program in everything but formal governance: it carries the Carroll Dragon name, its high-school teams represent Carroll on game days, and its Wall of Fame tracks alumni who go on to play at the next level. But it's an independent nonprofit club, not a Carroll ISD team — Texas high-school lacrosse is a club sport, so the district doesn't run it.
