Our take

Primrose School of Southlake is a national Primrose franchise on South Kimball Avenue, near Southlake Town Square, and it is the original of three campuses that local franchisees Josh and Rosemary Briggle own. The other two are Hidden Lakes on Davis Boulevard, also in Southlake, and Grapevine-Colleyville on Hall Johnson Road. All three run Primrose's proprietary Balanced Learning curriculum, which sets the shape of the place: a corporate playbook delivered by hands-on local owners rather than an owner-operator improvising from scratch.

It covers the full early-childhood stretch, full-day (6:30 AM to 6:30 PM) and year-round: infant and toddler rooms up through Preschool, Pre-K, and a Transitional-Kindergarten/Kindergarten year, then a before- and after-school Explorer program for school-age children and a themed Summer Adventure Club. Daily photos and updates come through the Procare app.

Who it's for: families who want a franchise center that teaches to a set curriculum with a full day and a clear path toward kindergarten, rather than a small in-home program. If you want a home-daycare feel, this isn't it. Enrollment runs through a tour rather than a walk-in, and popular age bands fill, so ask early. Tuition isn't posted online; rates come at the tour.

  • The curriculum is Primrose's proprietary Balanced Learning, with daily photos and updates through the Procare app.
  • The same local family owns all three campuses, so if the Kimball Avenue school is full, ask about Hidden Lakes on Davis Boulevard or Grapevine-Colleyville on Hall Johnson Road. Two of the three are Southlake addresses, so a move between them is usually a short one.
  • Enrollment is a tour rather than a walk-in, and rates aren't published online until the visit, so bring the numbers from anywhere else you're comparing.

Primrose School of Southlake is a facility-based, franchise-operated early-education center, owned and run by local franchisees Josh and Rosemary Briggle (both Texas A&M graduates), who describe themselves as hands-on owners involved in daily operations.
