Our take

PeeknPlay is built around a pretend-play town, a kid-sized street of role-play settings, with a ball pit and a play structure with slides alongside it, and it is scaled deliberately for children under eight rather than for a wide age range. The Grapevine unit sits at Grapevine Mills, one of several PeeknPlay locations around DFW.

The model is open play sold by the visit or the membership: unlimited time during open-play hours rather than a booked slot with a clock on it, which the company contrasts with venues that cap a session. Children must wear socks, adults are asked to wear them too, and there is a seating area designed so parents can watch rather than climb.

Parties are the other half of the business, and they are private in the literal sense — the venue closes to the public for the booking rather than roping off a corner.

Local Tips

PeeknPlay runs several DFW locations off one website, so the detail that matters most is which parts apply to Grapevine and which are brand-wide. Hours are location-specific; prices are not always.

  • Weekday hours here are their own. Grapevine opens at 10:00 AM Monday to Friday, an hour later than the Frisco, Arlington and McKinney units on the same table. The site publishes no hours outside those five days and defers to its Facebook and Instagram instead, so confirm before travelling on any other day.
  • Confirm the price for this location. Memberships and pass bundles are published without saying which locations they apply to, and party pricing on the same site is chosen through a location picker and is not the same everywhere.
  • Bring socks for the adults too. Children must wear socks, and parents are asked to as well; the restrooms are at the far end of the building, so socks save a barefoot walk.
