  • Autopay runs on the 1st and tuition is non-refundable. A $35 late fee applies if the month is not paid in full by the 6th, and a $10 fee if a scheduled payment is declined. No tuition is due in June or July unless summer programming is taken.
  • Withdrawal requires 30 days' written notice; nothing is refunded or prorated for a partial month, an early withdrawal, or a missed class.
  • Summer camps are $250 a week and are priced outside the monthly rate.
  • Birthday parties are posted separately: Standard $300, Deluxe $450, with up to 6 additional children at $10 each.

Details

Older dancers (ages 8-12) also have morning ballet intensives, 10 AM-12 PM (Ballet/Hip Hop 9 AM-12 PM): Ballet/Contemporary and Ballet/Jazz in June, Ballet/Tap and Ballet/Hip Hop in July 2026. Their exact weeks are published only on a calendar image, so confirm dates with the studio.

Our take

North Texas Dance Arts makes a deliberate choice: it's non-competitive. There's no travel team and no competition circuit — the focus is technique and a love of dance rather than trophies. For a family that wants their kid to actually learn ballet and grow as a dancer but has no interest in the competition grind, that's the whole pitch.

Don't mistake non-competitive for casual, though. Ballet comes first here, and dancers age 7 and up are required to take ballet twice a week — across a full menu of classical ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop, age-leveled from toddlers (18 months) up through adults. It runs as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and the tuition model is refreshingly simple: one all-inclusive monthly rate with, in its words, "no surprises." If you're chasing trophies and a competition résumé, this isn't the studio; if you want strong training in a lower-pressure environment, it fits well. There's a free trial class to test it, plus themed birthday parties and school-break camps.

Local Tips

North Texas Dance Arts is on the second floor of the 280 Commerce building — the "280 Sports" complex, just south of the QT gas station at the corner of Southlake Boulevard and Commerce Street. The entrance to know: come in through the main entrance near "Sharky's Cuts for Kids," and the studio is upstairs. A couple of practical notes:

  • The ballet-twice-a-week requirement for dancers 7 and up is a real commitment, so plan the weekly schedule around it.
  • Tuition is one all-inclusive monthly figure rather than a base rate plus add-ons.
  • Registration runs through the studio's online portal.

It also runs themed birthday parties on Saturday afternoons.

Credentials

North Texas Dance Arts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dance studio. Its site does not name an individual owner or director, referring instead to "our directors and instructors" and an award-winning faculty. As a nonprofit organization, it is structured around its dance-education mission rather than individual ownership; instruction spans classical ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop across an age-leveled, non-competitive curriculum, with a stated requirement that dancers age 7 and up train in ballet at least twice a week.
