Age-leveled dance classes — ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and contemporary — from Creative Movement, Preschool, and PreK/Kindergarten through Elementary, Junior, and Senior levels, plus private and duet lessons and a drill-team prep class. The studio runs a competition team and its own Majestic Ballet performance company, with an annual Nutcracker and a year-end recital.

Our take

Longevity is Majestic's calling card. It opened in 1987 (as Grapevine Dance Academy) and is heading into its 40th season, still run by the two sisters who founded it — the kind of continuity that's rare in a business where studios come and go. Credentials

Majestic Dance Academy is a family-run studio founded in August 1987 (originally Grapevine Dance Academy) by sisters Susan Myers and Donna Oas, who both serve as Studio Owner and Director. The studio formed its Majestic Ballet performance company in 1992. Its faculty includes competition director and choreographer Emily Myers Vargas, whose competition pieces have won awards, among a staff of instructors with backgrounds in ballet, drill, and collegiate and professional dance. Instruction spans ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and contemporary across an age-leveled curriculum.
