Monthly memberships, priced by how many classes a month you take. One child:

  • Open Gym Membership $80/month (unlimited Open Gym).
  • 4 classes a month $120/month — the Mini Membership (four 45-minute classes plus unlimited Open Gyms).
  • 8 classes a month $180/month.
  • 12 classes a month $225/month.
  • Babies & Crawlers $110/month (0–14 months, unlimited).
  • Every membership includes unlimited Open Gyms, and most run month-to-month.
  • A one-time $50 New Family enrollment fee applies; additional children get 20% off a membership. A two-child rate card is also published — 4, 8 or 12 classes a month at $216, $324 and $405 — so a second child is priced as a joint plan rather than a second membership.
  • The centre's own rate card notes that prices vary for established members, so the figures above are the new-family rates.
  • A preview class is free ($0), and birthday parties run $260 for two hours.
  • Memberships bill monthly until cancelled online or in the app — note the Mini and Babies tiers ask for two weeks' notice.
Age-staged parent-and-child classes plus open-play Open Gym, Tuesday through Saturday (with a Sunday morning block). Classes are grouped by developmental stage — Babies & Crawlers (0–17 months), Walkers (about 10–20 months), Runners (1–2 years), Explorers (about 22 months–5 years), plus Family Music and mixed-age Family Play classes spanning 0–6 years — and each runs about 45 minutes on a weekly schedule. Open Gym runs in longer daytime blocks on class days (for example 10 am–2 pm, or 1–5 pm) for free play on the indoor equipment, with a separate earlier slot reserved for non-walking babies; it is unlimited with a membership, or available with a single Open Gym Pass. A Preschool Summer Camp has run in the summer season; it is not on the current Fall/Winter grid (see Camp fields). Confirm the current weekly grid and reserve on the Gymboree Play & Music app or online.

Our take

Gymboree Play & Music is the classic parent-and-baby class program, and this Southlake location runs the full slate: weekly classes sorted by exactly where your child is developmentally — Crawlers, Walkers, Runners, Explorers — where a parent gets down on the mat alongside them, plus Family Music and mixed-age classes that let siblings come together. The classes are the structured half. The other half is Open Gym: scheduled windows when the room opens up for free play on the indoor play equipment. If you carry a membership the Open Gym is unlimited, and that's the real value calculation here — it turns a class studio into a place you can drop into on a bad-weather morning any week.

This is squarely a program for the under-five set, and the core classes are parent-participation, not drop-off: you're in the room, singing and spotting. That's the point for the infant-through-toddler stage, and it's also why it stops fitting once a kid is ready for real preschool or wants to run wild without a grown-up shadowing them. Families who click with it tend to want a little structure and a developmental throughline to their playtime rather than a big loud open gym — and go often enough that the membership math works. For a one-off, the single Open Gym Pass or a free intro class is the low-stakes way to see if your kid takes to it before you commit.

Local Tips

The studio is on East Southlake Boulevard, in Suite 170 — an in-line suite, so go by the number. Two things worth knowing before you sign up:

  • The membership is the lever: it's what makes the Open Gym unlimited, so if you're picturing regular drop-in visits, price the membership against per-visit Open Gym Passes rather than paying by the drop-in.
  • You reserve classes through the Gymboree Play & Music app (or online) up to about a month out, so set up the app before your first week rather than trying to walk in.

Open Gym runs in daytime windows on class days — check the current grid, because the non-mobile-baby Open Gym is a separate, earlier slot from the general one.

Credentials

Gymboree Play & Music Southlake runs the national Gymboree Play & Music curriculum — an age-staged developmental play-and-music program — led by trained Gymboree instructors rather than a single named coach. It operates as a franchise location of the brand. Classes are instructor-led and parent-participation; the Open Gym is an indoor free-play space using the studio's play equipment.
