Summer lesson sessions run $80–$100 depending on length — $80 for a four-day block, $100 for a five-day or five-class M/W or T/Th block; that is the last published rate structure, from the 2026 summer sessions. The club does not currently post fall lesson fees — registration and the current options run through its Google form. Team-class fees vary by level and weekly practice frequency; contact the club for current team pricing.

Fall lessons at the Southlake pool have begun, and registration runs through the club's Google form; the club posts no fall dates, times or fees on its site, so the registration link is where the current options are listed. Divers start in the lessons program and, after clearing early levels, may try out for team classes running 2×–6× per week by level (Future Champions/novice, Junior Olympic, National Training). Year-round and team schedules are posted per location (Southlake, Keller, Justin) on the club site.

Our take

GC Divers isn't a swim school — it's a diving club, and a serious one: it runs training tracks up to the national level, and describes itself as a USA Diving Center of Excellence. But what earns it a spot in a Southlake parent's rotation isn't the résumé — it's the front door. The club deliberately runs true-beginner lessons, learning a basic headfirst dive, at the same pools where its competitive athletes train.

That range is the point. A kid can take a few summer lessons with no intention of competing, or, after clearing the early lesson levels, try out for a team track that scales from two practices a week to six for Junior Olympic and national training. Diving is scarce and specialized, so a program that will start an absolute beginner on district water while also training athletes several levels up is genuinely unusual — and it's set up as much for the child who only wants to get off the board safely as for the one chasing the competitive path.

Local Tips

The Southlake classes are at the Carroll Senior High natatorium on West Southlake Blvd — the same competition pool the district's own teams use, not a GC Divers building, so you're a guest of the school, and the club is upfront about following the facility's rules. Summer lessons run in short weekday blocks and finish with an end-of-summer lesson meet at the Southlake pool. Registration is a Google form, not a slick portal. And because the club shares three ISD pools — Southlake, Keller, and Justin — if the Southlake session you want is full, a nearby location can sometimes get you a better time.

Carroll ISD Connection

The tie to Carroll is unusually direct. Hailey Hernandez — a Southlake Carroll graduate, four-time Texas state diving champion, and 2020 Olympian — trained at GC Divers. Day to day, the club runs its Southlake lessons at the Carroll Senior High pool, credits its own program with helping high-school diving grow across the area, and staffs that lesson deck in part with a current Carroll high-schooler who dives. For a Dragon family, it's a direct on-ramp into a sport most schools don't teach until high school.

Credentials

Founder-owner Krista Klein started GC Divers in 1993; a multiple-time USA Diving national champion, two-time NCAA Division I champion and 1991 NCAA Diver of the Year, SMU Athletic Hall of Fame inductee, and former US National team member — she still coaches, schedules, and manages the program. The staff includes Justin Ruszkowski (elite team; the Keller ISD high-school diving coach), Greg Triefenbach (national team; former head coach at the University of Missouri, Virginia Tech, and St. Louis University, and a Big 12 Coach of the Year), and Ila Castille (19 years coaching, eight as an AAU national-championship team coach). Lesson divers at the Southlake pool work with coaches including a current Carroll high-school diver.
