Our take

Southlake Early Care and Education is a full-day early-education center on Davis Boulevard — physically in Keller, just south of the Southlake line, and marketed squarely to Southlake-area families. It's one of six campuses of an independent, DFW-based company that opened its first school in 2009, which is worth knowing: it's owner-run and regional rather than a national franchise or a single in-home program.

The program runs from infants at six weeks through Pre-K on the Frog Street curriculum, with Conscious Discipline woven through, full-day and year-round. For older kids there's a before- and after-school program branded STEM Station, with a STEAM focus and center-provided transportation to and from area schools, plus a summer camp for ages 5–12 that runs full-day with meals and field trips.

Who it's for: working families in the Southlake/Keller area who want one place that can cover an infant or preschooler now and a school-age child before and after school, with transportation and a STEAM slant. Because it's a Keller address, it sits in Keller ISD rather than Carroll ISD — worth noting if district alignment matters to you. Tuition isn't posted, so ask.

Local Tips

A DFW-owned center on Davis Boulevard in Keller, close to the Southlake line. Practical notes:

  • It's one of six independently owned campuses (not a franchise), running the Frog Street curriculum with Conscious Discipline.
  • The before/after-school STEM Station includes transportation to and from area schools, and the summer camp (ages 5–12) requires a minimum five-week enrollment starting June 1.
  • Tuition isn't published online, and the site's linked tuition agreement wasn't reachable, so you'll need to ask for current rates.
  • One thing to confirm directly: the address is in Keller (Keller ISD), even though the center markets to Southlake families.
Credentials

The school director is Ms. Teresa Gerhardt, who joined in July 2026 and brings more than 30 years working with children; she holds a Child Development Associate Credential, a State Director's Credential/License, and CPR/First Aid certification. Southlake Early Care and Education is a facility-based center, one of six campuses of an independent DFW company (first school opened 2009). It is Texas-licensed, with teacher-to-child ratios stated to meet or exceed Texas child-care standards, staff trained in Conscious Discipline, and CPR/first-aid-trained staff for emergencies. The curriculum is Frog Street (by Dr. Pam Schiller for the toddler program) across the early-childhood rooms, with The Creative Curriculum in select classrooms and Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment.
