What's offered

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Monday–Saturday, closed Sunday. Kids run in three age tiers on weekday afternoons — Little Kids (2–4), Kids (5–7) and Big Kids (8–13) — with Thursday given over to No-Gi. Adults train All-Levels early morning and midday, then split into Beginners and Advanced classes in the evening. A daytime Homeschool class runs Monday and Wednesday mornings, No-Gi on Friday, and Saturday is kids followed by adults. Trial classes are booked through the form on the site: pick a program, then book a class, and scheduling confirmations come by text.

Our take

413 is a small, independent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school on Davis Boulevard, on Southlake's east side. It's a single-room gym led by head instructor Pedro Rocha, so you get mat time with the person actually teaching.

The program is straightforward: kids in three age groups (Little Kids 2–4, Kids 5–7, Big Kids 8–13), adults at all levels, Gi and No-Gi, plus daytime homeschool classes. The case the school makes is the standard Jiu-Jitsu one — confidence, self-defense, fitness, and discipline — with the kids' classes leaning on character values like respect and courage. Rocha is a black belt with a competition record the school publishes, though it is clear that competing is optional for students. Credentials

413 is led by Pedro Rocha, its head instructor and owner, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt who teaches the classes personally. Jiu-Jitsu was his first martial art. He took up wrestling at 14, was selected for Brazil's juvenile Olympic team at 15 and competed internationally, then returned to Jiu-Jitsu at 23 and earned his black belt. The school lists his IBJJF results as an adult black belt: gold at the 2023 Pan No-Gi Championship in the open class, silver at the 2021 World No-Gi Championship, and gold at the 2020 American National No-Gi.
